 How to make samosas


Today  you are going to share instructions on how to create samosas. Watch the video on how to make samosas . You will need to use the video to help you know all of the ingredients and equipment needed to make samosas. You will also need to use the video to help you know the step by step instructions to make samosas. Make sure that your instructions are in the right order and provide enough detail for someone else to follow and create their own samosas. 


Equipment:

  • Whisk

  • Spoon

  • Wooden spoon

  • Pan

  • Rolling pin

  • Knife

  • Pot



Ingredients:

  • Flour

  • Salt

  • Oil or melted ghee

  • Water

  • 3 boiled potatoes

  • Cumin seeds

  • Crushed Coriander seeds

  • Garam masala

  • Chili powder

  • Turmeric

  • 1 Green chilli

  • Crushed garlic

  • Ginger paste

  • 1  Onion

  • Green peas

  • Lemon juice

  • Crushed cashews

  • Chopped coriander leaves


Instructions:

  1. Pour 2 cups of flour in a bowl

  2. Add half a teaspoon of salt

  3. Mix with a whisk

  4. Add 1/4 cup of oil or melted ghee

  5. Mix until incorporated

  6. Rub the flour with the oil until mixture resembles crumbs

  7. Add 1/4 cup of water- Add gradually

  8. Than knead until firm dough

  9. Cover and let the dough rest for 30 minutes

  10. Than get 3 boiled potatoes than roughly chop/ Bolid

  11. Add 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan

  12. And add 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds

  13. Then put 1/2 teaspoon of Garam masala

  14. Add 1 teaspoon Chili powder and Turmeric

  15. Let cook for 30-60 seconds

  16. Finely chop 1 Green chili

  17. Add 2-3 cloves of crushed garlic

  18. 1 Teaspoon of ginger paste

  19. And then add the green chopped chili

  20. Cook for 1 minute

  21. 1 chopped onion

  22. Saute for 3-4 minutes

  23. Than add the chopped boiled potatoes in the pan

  24. 1 cup of green peas

  25. Let it cook

  26. Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice

  27. 1/4 cup of water

  28. Than add salt

  29. Cook for 4-5 minutes, Stir frequently with a wooden spoon

  30. Add 1/4  crushed cashews

  31. 2 tablespoons of chopped coriander leaves

  32.  Than let it all cook for a while

  33. Then remove from heat and let it cool down

  34. Divide the dough into 6-7 equal parts

  35. Than shape into balls

  36. While working with one ball, keep the remaining balls covered

  37. Roll out each ball into an oval

  38. Cut it in the middle

  39. and brush water  in the middle 

  40. Form a cone with the dough

  41. Fill the dough with the potato filling

  42. Brush the edges with water, then pinch the edges and seal the dough

  43. Then repeat with all of the dough

  44. Drop the samosas into hot oil, 4-5 pieces at the time

  45. Fry for 4-5 minutes, until golden brown

  46. Drain on paper towels
