Writing - Recount

A fishing experience

 

Instructions: 

Maori designs are influenced by being in the water, but especially from fishing.  Check out Piper’s fishing experience with her owner Mr J.  


Challenge: Decide which character you will.  Retell the story about the fishing expedition.


Gold: 4-5 paragraphs (daily entries)

Silver: 3-4 paragraphs (daily entries)

Bronze: 2-3 paragraphs (daily entries)

Who:dog ,fisher man, bird

When: early in the morning

Where:on a boat

What:stopped the bird from getting worms? Dog gives worms for the bird's chicks.


Sequence of Events:


Beginning

A fisherman and dog woke early in the morning to go fishing.


The dog meets the bird. The bird tried stealing the worm and the dog tried stopping the bird.


The fisherman scares away the bird. The bird flies away to her chicks then the dog gives the worm to the bird to feed her chicks. The bird flies back and gives the dog some fish.

Start writing=>

Early in the morning an old fisherman and his dog went fishing. They walked out to the dock and hopped into the boat and set sail. First they stopped and waited from somthing to pull on the line. 


While they were waiting the little dog see’s a very tall bird standing right at the edge of the boat the bird leans over and tries to snacatch worm but the dog stop her.

Next the bird came back the dog stopped her again and then she flew away again she never gave up until she tried to steal one dog and stop her then they  fought then the old fisherman scares away the bird.After that the bird flies away to her little chicks the dog gives her some worms to feed her chicks. 


Finally the bird flies to the dog to give him some fish to repay for his kindness.
